Are FIC injectors good?

Are FIC injectors good?

FIC is great if you need more than 1000cc. The bigger injectors can be tuned for idle much easier. However I haven’t found reputable tuner that couldn’t tune FIC1000s for idle on a LS engine just fine.

How do you identify a fic injector?

Another way is to look for our initials scribed (FIC) or laser engraved on the injectors. You will find the FIC initials scribed on the side opposite the electrical plug for a low-z injector and on the same side as the electrical plug for a high-z injector.

Do reconditioned injectors need coding?

Coding is fundamentally the most important aspect of CR injector calibration because new and reconditioned injectors alike need to be re-aligned to deliver the correct quantity of fuel at the right time during the combustion stroke, to meet stringent emissions standards.

Can injectors be reconditioned?

What are reconditioned fuel injectors? Remanufactured fuel injectors are those that have been fully disassembled, checked for wear, and rebuilt with new components.

Are Honda injectors high or low impedance?

Typically, peak and hold Honda injectors will exhibit between 2 to 3 ohms resistance while saturated ones will measure somewhere around 12 ohms. This is all pretty useless and boring information until you do something like an engine transplant or go out and swap your stock fuel injectors for a high-flow set.

Which is better high or low impedance injectors?

That low-amp current keeps the injector temperature lower, which makes it more reliable; that’s why the high-impedance design is the most common injector style for OEM applications. Low-impedance injectors, also called peak-and-hold injectors, are sent a more powerful electrical signal, usually around 56 amps, to open.

Do low impedance injectors need a resistor box?

If your injectors are low impedance, unsaturated, then you need to use a resistor box which wires up to all the injectors. If they are high impedance, saturated, then you’re good to go.
