Is organic cotton safe?
In fact organic cotton is so safe, it’s one of the best materials for your skin. It’s hypoallergenic, so it won’t cause irritation for people with skin issues and sensitiveness, and people with asthma are safe to wear it too.
Where are Muji products made?
Its products are composed primarily of unsustainable materials like plastic and polyester, and most of its product manufacturing is done in China, Indonesia and Vietnam, countries with controversial labor practices.
Why is Muji failing?
Muji’s 19 stores in the U.S. have been dormant since mid-March due to the pandemic. Before COVID-19, the retailer had already been struggling because of the exorbitant rental prices in prime locations and landmarks within the U.S. – such as its New York Times Square and Fifth Avenue flagships.
Is Muji a Chinese company?
Muji, a Japanese fashion and home goods brand, has taken the opposite approach. On its Chinese website, it prominently advertises that its garments are made from cotton that comes directly from Xinjiang, earning the praise of some Chinese consumers on social media.
Is Muji closing down in Malaysia?
Muji which operates multiple stores selling home goods, is filing for bankruptcy to reformat its business and move to a more online focus strategy. In Malaysia, Muji operates in Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, Mid Valley and other major malls, however as of now the US closure will not affect operations here.
